I just listened to 'Smooth Operator' by Sade on Youtube after hearing part of it over the weekend. The memorable lyric to me was the mention of Chicago, followed by Key Largo. And of course I like reminders of the Windy City. Articles I found spoke of the song being about a jet setter, and of course it is also about his dating life when it speaks of 'Love for sale'. I hadn't heard it in a while.
At the comedy club tonight, I liked seeing a lineup of many familiar comics. The Tetris comic did ones about animated porn, and gloves. The 'Extra murder' comic did ones about matching names, food trucks, and a donut burger at the food truck event. I got a shout out as I laughed at the mention of lethal ingestion (as opposed to injection). The bathtub comic did ones about an escaped zoo animal, a doll factory, and roller skating. The Belarus native did one about his tiger shirt. The 'Happy Meal' comic did ones about wisdom teeth, and Metallica mixed with karaoke. The bus fare comic did ones about sleep yelling, being from an orphanage, and trying to quit smoking. The Maryland native did ones about condos, everything is broke and so is he, a marketing degree, Urkel, and yoga pants. The sub teacher did ones about attending a wedding, ghetto wind talking, and a wolf with the sheep. The Worthington native did ones about a tough dad speech, snake owners, and cyber-bullying his dad. Postage stamp did ones about Jeopardy and bar trivia, along with post offices and trains. The opera singer did one about mosquitoes and drug lords. I did not know the show closer, but he spoke of his wife being from Minnesota. He did jokes about 4-way stops, ashes, and Christian rock. Two other comics that I probably don't have a name for yet also performed. One placed well at a contest, and did ones about dating standards and World Cup announcers. The other did one about exorcizing demons, a pun with physical fitness.
