Lucinda Williams, Wall Street Journal

I went into the break room today and saw an article about musician Lucinda Williams in the Wall Street Journal. It was from last month but I hadn't read it yet. I like reading stories about entertainers, although I am still not too familiar with her music. I recall hearing one song on a radio at the post office before, one of the employees told me who the performer was. The lyrics did stick with me- 'I am waiting in my car'. The article spoke of a release of a double album. I also liked reading about how her dad is a poet that performed at one of President Clinton's inaugurations.
I am now officially signed up as a volunteer for a comedy festival later this month, waiting to hear where and when they need me. There was a comment thread on Facebook tonight, after getting back from a show, but said my cell phone is not a smart phone.
Really enjoyed the comedy show I attended tonight. I knew the MC, he is my 'Manufactured rival'. It was crowded there, was told it was 'Insiders night'. I tried to sign up for this list and was denied, this was when I first started doing comedy 6 years ago. Might be easier to get on the list now. I do not know the feature all that well. We just met earlier this week. I know he is from Madison and does two memorable jokes. One is using the microphone stand as a prop, representing a taller man when he does a joke about trying to be a bouncer despite being short. The other is using a 'Visual aide' to show various positions besides '69', represented by some other digits. It was nice to meet the headliner again, he headlined the night of my first-ever paid gig when I competed with the fire alarm. Found out where he knew me besides this, he said he had seen me at some other clubs. He also did a big show I attended, at a casino in the area. It was Super Bowl weekend over 2 years ago. He is being added to the 'Ring of honor', this appears to be a running joke in the comedy circuit as I am explaining what it is all the time. I got some of his comedy CDs after the show as well.
