pulling a weed

a notable thing about the day was being at the library and pulling a weed. nothing unusual there, except I saw it while in my car as I was leaving. so I put my car on park, and then opened the door so I could pull the weed more effectively. the first attempt wasn't far enough down. also notable about being at the library was getting a call from the census bureau. I decided to go to a more call-friendly part of the building, the entryway. I did a short phone interview there, and accepted an offer. I was told to expect an email soon about it, including a finger printing session. I had been to a job fair, in Woodbury, earlier in the day, and saw the census bureau there. I wasn't expecting them to call this early, I had been told at another job fair that it would be months from now. there weren't many companies in my field at this job fair. one of them was a ski resort. I filed some more applications on indeed, after the job fair.
   I enjoyed performing, as usual, in the evening. near the end of the night I noticed how some of the city's finest were just outside of the venue, two vehicles. but they never went inside, and after a few minutes they were gone. it was nice to see the trumpet player, first time in a while. when I first saw him he was doing a rap and I said 'get him a microphone'. near the end of the night there was a delay in a performer's set, technical difficulties finding the right sing apparently. I got a bottle of lime soda instead of pineapple as it was already cold. I noticed how some were paying attention when I spoke of rhode island, it eventually led to mention of my visit to boston.
