empty dirt cup

 i recall one vacuum cleaner saying 'empty dirt cup' when i was young. this is what i did tonight, for the same reason why I do many other things: i was bored. i got at least half of the contents out of the paper bag, into a plastic bag, then into the trash. i don't recall doing this before on this vacuum, and i have had this hoover model for just over 20 years. it was mostly dust that found in it, but I also saw part of a coupon that expired in 2008 as well as a bent coin, a dime. 

i did a walk in the evening and found 37 cents. the 'big bang theory' reruns were when amy tried to give back the 'bestie' painting to penny, and when christopher lloyd was a guest star. it was followed by one where there was a 'girl fight' as penny got a rival in the building. i also did a virtual open-mic. notable was getting out one of my california raisin figurines for the first time in a while. not typical of me to rely on props but it seemed like a good idea for the purposes of telling a better story. at work things flowed well, but it helps that this is usually a low volume day for check printing. i also listened in to one dial-in meeting, related to a big file from last week. hard to say what was learned, though there was mention of the approval process, and how the boss would like to reduce the amount of time involved with it.
