i printed an article this morning that was about the flight cancellations over the memorial day holiday weekend. it mentions a tracking service called 'flight aware'. so i found this site, wikipedia said it is based in houston. impressed with what i saw on the site, i looked at the map and chose the airport in this metro area, MSP. based on the flight information there, i found out SDF, or the Louisville, KY, airport, is named for boxer muhammad ali. this might have calmed my fears about booking a flight this summer, as it said 2 percent of flights were canceled but some airlines, especially delta, will trim their schedule 'in an effort to improve reliability'. still looks like airfares are high though. not sure how i handle that, if there is enough miles to make it a free trip, or pay it off over 6 months through pay-pal.
it was the first day back at work. there was a spike in volume on some business lines, as expected, not only due to the holiday but also the end of the month. when i arrived the emergency exit door inside the check shop was chirping, sounded like squeaky shoes. so after getting some files printed i placed a work order online. i saw a technician just before i went to lunch, and as expected it was a simple solution, a battery replacement. i brought out the keys that are kept in an envelope. at lunchtime i saw a text from a fellow comic, who said he was ill so it meant not going out tonight. not a big deal, i said i would just drive home after work instead of go to the club. later on i went on a walk and found 72 cents. the 'big bang theory' reruns were when sheldon takes a vacation and tries working with amy in her lab. it was followed by the one where sheldon shows amy his storage locker.
