i made a return visit to the minneapolis art institute, and this time got more than just a smashed penny as a souvenir. i bought five postcards and two buttons. the former were of some of the artwork i had seen. the latter had cats on them, saying 'weirdo' and 'nope'. i've said before how while i am in a bar performing i have encountered weirdos before, and to some i am the weirdo. and there are times where my only response to something, such as watching football on TV, is 'nope!' so both of these work for me. one of the postcards was the iconic image of the migrant woman during the depression. i got a good look at the two floors that had the art during a little over two hours there. i didn't have much else planned for the day. also notable was finding a little jigsaw puzzle of the mascot of my credit union, a truck. i decided to get it framed since i had one that fits it well. 'the simpsons' had a good joke about homer leaving the nuclear power plant in terms of how many times this had happened before. later on i went on a walk and found 37 cents.
