one-day file transfer

the boss said early in the day how there was a power outage in another office, and their check files would be transferred to us for the day. both were in the afternoon; these were equipment finance checks. some were overnighted, but some will have to wait to be sent out. the second file arrived just after i have to send the mail tubs to the mailroom. i want to see that things are done right, so not a big deal to have it carried over to the next morning. we were given some forms to match up with some checks. it was under a hundred checks in all, sent PDF to us. i was also asked to pull out a 'zero check'. not a big deal, as i have done 'pull and shred' requests on other check files. a blue company envelope arrived, three refund checks were in it. a colleague that places supply orders for me asked about a contact for a business line in st. louis. i said i was familiar with two, and the name i was given was one i had never heard of. i was sent an excel spreadsheet related to UPS labels i had created. it was something about address corrections. the list went back to January, but it wasn't that many compared to the volume i send out each day. i also said that it is all about the address i am given by the business line.
