saw a hawkeye baseball game at the twins stadium in minneapolis, the iowa hawkeyes beat the minnesota gophers 7-1. there were some subtle differences from Twins games, besides the much smaller crowd. i saw how the gopher flag, a big 'M' was up instead of a Twins and the Minnesota state flag. Then of course there was the electronic scoreboards being changed for the event, but i liked seeing the out of town scoreboards still were there. it said the Twins lost to the Royals in Kansas City, of course the Twins being out of town was why the venue was available. Before the gates opened i decided to go inside the pro shop to see what was there, and got a pair of Twins socks since i need new pairs every so often. since it was cold and windy it also served as a way of staying warm, my date had a harder time staying warm. it helped that i had sweatpants on underneath my jeans, my only pair, Emerson Hough Huskies. It was nice seeing my school play, and seeing some Hawkeye fans, likely alumni who live nearby. I was not alone in showing up with Hawkeye apparel on.
When i went to turn on the 10 pm news the national news was still on, saying Osama Bin Laden was dead. Eventually the local news was put on, but i fell asleep for a little while before this happened.
