The theme of the day at the St. Paul Saints game was about the upcoming Harry Potter movie, so it meant a giveaway of scarves that were blue and white with the 'STP' logo on it. They looked really nice, but it was warm at the game since it was in the afternoon. Needed a few water breaks due to the heat. My date dropped a bottle of 7-up and felt bad about it, I let her have mine. I spoke of how it was no big deal, and I didn't like how I grew up with parents who were intolerant of mistakes. My 5th-grade teacher once wrote 'try to be more tolerant of mistakes made' in a report card, it was hard to un-learn but I got to that point. Found out the hard way how getting upset about things doesn't correct the problem, just makes it worse. The Saints won, beat Gary 8-7. My name was announced at the start of the game, but I didn't win anything. Needed a solo home run by the Saints, no home runs were hit in the inning.
After the game I tried to find another denim jacket but came up empty, 5 stores- 2 of them secondhand- either didn't have any or not quite what I wanted. so I am making it a larger project, by going online and searching for locations. There are plenty to try, including Goodwill, Salvation Army, Savers, and St. Vincent DePaul. In the evening after the Saints game I finished ripping it up, and threw it in the trash. Once I get started I usually finish doing so, and as a result many items don't make it to the donation bin.
