Toured the Highland Park water tower in the afternoon, it was nice to get it crossed off the list. It was part of the festival nearby, got there as some vendors were about to close up. The tours aren't available much, this is just one of 2 weekends each year. Had to hold the railing while going up as there was plenty of steps on the spiral staircase, bought a postcard as well. I knew it was on the National Register, it was why I wanted to tour it. I had seen it many times while driving past, and even when I stopped there at the adjacent hockey arena for an event. The arena is named for 'Charlie Brown and Snoopy' creator Charles Schulz. It was warm while looking around for Charlie Brown and Snoopy statues at the U of M campus in Minneapolis, found 3. Two were at the hospital entrance, the 3rd was inside a tunnel by the pharmacy building. We knew about these due to clues given on a blog, had hoped to find more but unable to find one by Lake Calhoun in uptown Minneapolis. Ate at the Erbert Gerbert sandwich shop while on campus, been there before.
