Recently I heard a song that was familiar, since I had heard it while in St. Louis but didn't write it down. I recalled it to be catchy, with lyrics like 'We belong way down below'. It was 'Heaven Knows' by The pretty reckless. The video does help with understanding the song better. There are plenty of TV monitors, but I am not a fan of 'Sing it' being part of the lyrics. The overall theme seems to be about 'Lost souls', so it is familiar. It may be another reason why it is catchy. Not sure what to think of scenes where a book is being burned, eventually it is revealed that the title is 'God's fool'. Still need to research this particular book.
Tonight at the comedy club, the show closer was the pizza surgery comic, hadn't seen him in a while. He did one about why he no longer drinks, and gave me a shout-out when doing his 'Mom swap' joke. The bathtub comic did one about a squirrel and a tomato, as well as ones about a bird nest and his hilarious 'Snapping turtle' joke. The 'Extra murder' comic did one about somebody's imagination. Others were about his check engine light and going to a strip club. The tortoise and hare comic did one about going to 9 by himself. The university accountant did one about a nametag on a billboard. The sub teacher did one about history tattoos, and smitten kitten. The next comic is one I haven't written about much, he did one about a gay pro football player. The opera singer was wearing a T-Wolves basketball shirt. The Worthington native did one about how he witnessed a 'Tough dad' speech. Others were about Brock Lesnar, and being a cyber bully to his dad. The Tetris comic did one about blood plasma.
