I started the day at Mille Lacs Casino, and ended it at the comedy club. While driving back from the comedy club after the show I liked hearing 'Celebrity Skin' by Hole on my car radio. I have the album of the same name, and I like two other songs on it- 'Awful' and 'Malibu'. My college roommate said the songs were better on this Hole album as Smashing Pumpkins front-man Billy Corgan helped write some of the songs on it. I really enjoyed the show, the Milwaukeean was MC and the laundry comic was the feature. The headliner was a New Yorker, from Brooklyn to be more specific. I liked his joke about using bath mats a lot.
At the casino/hotel this morning I got my breakfast at the gift shop, a Rice Krispies bar and a bottle of orange juice. I am not much of a gambler, so I didn't do the slot machines. I found an arcade with a Simpsons game as well as Skee-ball. I ended up winning 85 tickets and it was enough for a pliable 'Jokester' keychain and two Tootsie Rolls. I did stop briefly along the way at a few places to take pictures, at one place I didn't leave my car. I made it back to the Twin Cities just in time to see a high school football game. St. Paul Highland Park was playing a Wisconsin school for homecoming, I could hear player introductions while I was walking to the stadium after parking my car. At first I felt bad about not bringing pen and paper from the bag in my car, but didn't need it. The home team played poorly in this one, trailing 28-0 at the end of the first quarter and the final was 42-0. They couldn't stop the end runs, and when they got close to the goal line they got intercepted twice.
After the football game I finally made it home and went through email, not much postal mail. Then it was on to the grocery store for my weekly order. After getting back from returning the rental car I fell asleep in my easy chair while trying to watch the 6pm news, was woke up by a 'Please stand by' message. Then I went out to eat my evening meal, a sandwich at Subway. I was pleased with what I got accomplished before attending the show tonight.
