adult world movie

i watched a DVD on loan from the library around midday, 'adult world'. I recognized a few of the actors in it, john cusack as well as cloris leachman. it was about a recent college graduate that wants to pursue writing. cusack plays a writer that she wants as her mentor, and leachman plays her boss at the porno shop. so the movie title has a double meaning as the porn shop is called 'adult world' and she is now entering this world. the setting was Syracuse, new York, and the university in that town. one scene appears to be inside their famous athletic venue, the carrier dome. when I saw a 'Niagara bank' in one scene I wondered if it was buffalo, but it wasn't. plenty of art is on display besides just writing. a crossdresser is a big part of the storyline as well, somebody that the main character works with at the porn shop. no surprise how plenty of references are made to famous writers, including seeing a poster of Sylvia plath in the background every so often. it was a good story all around. I found it to be realistic, such as the struggles that a writer has- especially the rejection letters. since I am going back to work full-time on Wednesday, the writing about movies will have to be cut back greatly. I liked hearing how happy meal likes reading about them, and I said so in person last night.
   I stayed active today besides just watching the movie, as I went to get a parking pass for work. then I found out that public transport goes that way, with a simple transfer, so I will be doing a bus pass. I also looked around at a resale shop, and bought one book, CD, and DVD each. although it appears there are flaws with the CD, tried playing it in my car tonight and it was fine at first then it was ejected and it said 'error'. I paid just one dollar for it, so I am not out that much. it was nice performing tonight as well, I felt the need to answer a few things that the show runner said. but we know each other well, so all in good fun. I just wanted to respond honestly when it was my turn. it was nice to see airway near the end of the night, at first his plans were to just watch but he got into a freestyle rap. I know full well that 'the need to perform' is a real phenomenon.
