I was walking past a car wash this afternoon, on my way to a convenience store, and noticed somebody in a Honda car with Wisconsin plates sleeping. I decided to 'Let sleeping dogs lie' and just kept walking. but it was odd to see such a thing. I am sure that if they were there long enough, that it would attract attention, such as from the police. especially when there are signs up saying there are cameras at the facility.
I watched some college football on TV today, the leadoff game was my school, Iowa, playing at Michigan. Iowa lost 10-3, they had their chances but too many turnovers and QB sacks. I walked to the store after the game was over. and after I found out the 6pm news would not be happening due to the college football games, I decided to lay down and I slept for a while. I then went online to get a few things done such as dump more airline miles into an account from a survey site. I also made a few cuts from my Facebook page. but also added a page about acting auditions, when it was suggested since some of my performer friends were already on it. I am bummed that I will not be doing karaoke tonight, because my car is in the shop and will not be available until midday Monday. the venue is just plain too far away for me to walk to it. looks like my car will be ready just in time to get plenty of things done next week, such as get groceries and return a movie to the library. actually it means delaying my typical grocery shopping day because of it. but there are phone interviews and other events I plan on attending, such as an event at the loft literary center. this is just one of only two memberships I have kept since I was laid off nearly two years ago. I would like to think I can still get to Oktoberfest in New Ulm next weekend. I will likely rent a car to get there as I want to drive with confidence. I went to check my PO box for orders before I put my car in the shop. a state quarter was there, along with a Met Life Charlie Brown postcard. two CDs ordered from Amazon will likely arrive sometime next week.
