food shelf closed

I tried to re-direct the remaining food items I had been seeing, knowing there is a food bank, or food shelf, near me. I rang the doorbell and a man outside playing with a cat said they were closed. guess they are not open much, in the morning hours 3 days a week. just hadn't needed their services yet. most of the food will still get eaten though, the nice thing about it being canned.
  at work there was a request to find five checks, after we started running them through the machine. they were found, thankfully due to guessing on sequence not too many needed to be opened. then later on the printer stopped working, at first due to a jam then it must have been the sensors not functioning properly. so most of the files were printed, except for the largest remaining one, since there still was a small printer available. all three of us were in the check shop late in the day, but still couldn't get it going so a service call was inevitable. during a walk I found 15 cents. according to information given in our huddle in the morning, we are closing early on friday, and doing just a half day. so it means figuring out how to enter it on the time card since I am new.
   the 'big bang theory' reruns were when leonard and penny saw howard and bernadette arguing about money, followed by when amy had her research work changed by sheldon.
