i decided to respond to a message on monster because there was another email saying i hadn't. i went to the monster site and there were about 10 messages, some going back to february. most were from staffing agencies, and of course it is a moot point now when i am back at work with a direct-hire role. i had to ask them what kind of role they were hiring for, it is in the insurance industry. but my guess is it is in sales, and sales is not for me.
in the evening i went on a walk and picked up 21 cents. the 'big bang theory' reruns were a thanksgiving episode, where some of the friends helped out at soup kitchen. sheldon and amy do an event as friends. it was followed by the one where sheldon gets sick and the other 3 dudes try to attend a marathon of 'planet of the apes' movies.
at work i was asked to print a test check, but when i sent a copy of it there was no response to it. there was a call-in meeting in the afternoon, but for most of the hour i just listened to it and still did my normal duties. there was mention of new hires near the end, and i was one of them. so i made sure to print that page from the presentation.
before I went on a walk in the evening, I watched some of what was on ABC. there was an hourlong program in memory of TV personality Regis Philbin, who I know best as a game show host, for 'Who wants to be a millionaire'. the next program was about the history of covid-19, and midway through it I got up and went on the walk. odd to see a history of the virus when the pandemic is still happening. but i am aware of how current events eventually have a way of reaching the history books.
