i made it to the comedy club tonight, first time in a while. what i noticed on the way in was a charlie brown statue which had a hat made out of snow. it was nice to see some people i knew, including bathtub, yemen native, and school bouncer. i first spoke with the show runner at a mic i was invited to after my birthday last year. as expected, it can be a challenge to talk to the newer comics, because i barely know them. but i live for the time onstage, and went on fourth. the notable ones were about a method of payment and things i won't be buying. and i like hearing from fellow comics who said they liked my set. there is nothing like this kind of crowd, because a joke is more likely to do well when in front of a larger crowd. it is one reason why i am fine with staying after the show because i get recognized by some crowd members. and since i want to watch most of the show, it is easier to talk to comics that i like seeing and need to catch up with. one of them spoke of boxing, and i think i will want to see his match later this month. at work i saw a zip tie on a tub when the mail arrived in the morning. still fairly often lately, i am seeing this happen. not a big deal, just get the scissors out and cut it off. and it is nice to have the overnight label creating caught up before heading to lunch, but it also helps to have fewer to do from some business lines such as account closure or i-pay. after being at the club i went on a walk and found 51 cents.
