alternate plans were found on not only the ATM, but also going to walgreen. both places at or near work served the purpose. the trash bags and bar soap weren't locked up, proving the old adage about 'selection varies by store'. and i held myself to what i had said about the family dollar closing this past summer, how walgreen would be meeting more of my needs. i needed tall kitchen bags, and was used to getting a small box with 10 bags in it. this option wasn't available, so it meant getting a box of 50 bags. guess i won't need to buy them for a while. even when it was 10 at a time, i didn't have to get them that often. same is true with getting bar soap, because i get a 3-pack. when i was done using the ATM a branch employee acknowledged me and i said 'i am not only an employee but also a customer'. at work near the end of the day i picked up two boxes for a colleague that does the mail sorting. one of them was from iron mountain, the other from urbancrest. i am used to the latter being for replacing computer equipment. the former i was emailed about, so i knew to expect it soon, branch manager was copied on it. another colleague said she would be visiting her mom in the hospital and to hold the i-pay checks. guess i printed them early enough that they were picked up right away, she hadn't left just yet. my boss fell on the ice and said he won't be in the office later this week. i responded to an email about picking up the 'inactive printer', saying i prefer not too early or too late in my workday. since i expect it to be like having to help with shipments of check stock or envelopes. in the evening i went on a walk and found 1 dollar 19 cents. the 'big bang theory' reruns were when a rival company was trying to steal penny, and bernadette had a problem with it. amy was encouraging sheldon's interest in babies and said to raj 'want to bet against me?' this was followed by the one where penny calls raj 'quick draw' and gets a hemorrhoid commercial. also funny because amy said she wouldn't allow penny to move back to nebraska.
