sometimes the facebook news feed yields some good things. a fellow comic had a posting asking if como zoo in st. paul was open on memorial day, and they are open every day of the year. it prompted me to get there and pick up another mold-a-rama souvenir. i had one from this zoo, but it fell apart. they have four, and i chose the blue polar bear to replace the red seal. so now i have three again. the other two are a black train from chicago, and a red mustang car from detroit. i wasn't there for long, around midday, but i still got a look at some of the animals there. on my next visit i will have to ride the carousel as i noticed the tickets are three dollars, cheaper than what i bought on this visit. i was pleased with what i got done on another day off. in the morning i did the dishes and then took out the trash and placed an e-bay and amazon order. then before i made it to the zoo i dropped off recycle at the capitol. after the zoo i put in a DVD movie, a recent purchase from the video store. it was 'the way back', where ben affleck plays a basketball coach. i watched jeopardy and one of the categories was the rockefellers. shortly after it was done i was on the road again, to a meetup event in mendota heights, a hike through a park. this is one i only do on holidays when it is easier for me to get around on time. then i performed at an open-mic in the evening, heard an 'oh my god' from the crowd during my set which was weird. it may have been after the story about the text that was obviously a wrong number. cul-de-sac spoke of attending a baseball game in cedar rapids. at the end of the night i went on a walk and found 18 cents.
