beetlejuice movie

saw the movie 'beetlejuice' movie this afternoon, at the highland park theater in st, paul. if i had seen all of the first one, it wasn't at theaters. saw this one because it was promoted as a sweepstakes through the 'big bang theory' reruns i watch after work. it was a little boring at first, but then it got good once somebody said his name three times and he shows up. it wouldn't be much of a movie if no one did, so i think most attendees expected this to happen. i like danny devito, from various movies and the jersey mike's ads, and this actor had a small role in it as a janitor. when the movie ended i heard a man talk with his kid about the possibility of a third movie in this franchise. i agreed with the man, who said there would be another one as this one is doing well. it was projected to place second in ticket sales this weekend, and it was number one its first three weeks. my guess is it will take a lot less time to do the third than the 36-year gap between the first and second. after the movie i went to the nearby 'little target' and got some cheese and bread. i think this was due to wanting popcorn at the movie but it was more than what i wanted to pay. the cheese and bread was cheaper, and i used quarters to pay for those two items. then i printed a reservation recently made at a copy store. around midday i went to the czech and slovak festival in st. paul, and had lunch there. also attended this event last year. there wasn't much of a line for beer, i got a pilsner urquell. but there was a long line for food, getting a sausage in a bun. the baked goods were inside the building, and i got an apricot pastry. i had two tickets left, and when i was leaving i got a can of orange fanta, which had jenna ortega on it, promoting the movie i was about to see. in the evening i watched some football, parts of two games. along with doing the dishes. and after seeing the caitlin clark segment on '60 minutes', i took a long walk around the neighborhood, where i found 89 cents.
