there was a question about overnighting costs from an instant message. i said it usually isn't that much unless it is going to a foreign land. sounds like doing a wire transfer is even more, but i haven't done any of those. and it sounds like we don't charge back to a business line when we overnight checks. i ended up overnighting three checks from a fraud file to a bank on Staten Island. a payroll check was picked up by the manager, usually it is picked up by their aide. but i don't care who picks it up. there was an e-invoice request from a different payroll manager, it was found by vacation replacement. it was more like an ACH statement and not a check when it was forwarded on.
