After arriving at the comedy club tonight, a bartender said I should find the Mason City native, who was filming a youtube video about Minnesota Nice. I like doing these videos, not sure when it will be uploaded to the site but it will be fun to see the response to it. I mostly like finding music there, but I am familiar with how some of those home movies 'go viral'. I was given a line and then I added my own line after it.
As usual, I recognized many of the comics in the lineup. The Maryland native did ones about hockey, Urkel, condos, and having a marketing degree. The Wisconsin couple was there, the husband doing ones about the Packers doing yoga, and borrowing a pen. The wife did ones about a county fair, deer hunts, and jello salad wrestling. The sub teacher did ones about history tattoos, and his lady working at the DOT. The university accountant did one about drinking water when thirsty, and high fives. The bathtub comic did ones about Como Zoo, the Detroit Zoo, and his first kiss. The school bouncer did ones about Ice Cube raps, and how he is not ready for parenting, though his parents want grandkids. The Oklahoma native did ones about tartar sauce, and a bumper sticker on a Craigslist car. The former Perkins employee did one about tennis and construction workers. Others were about cat surgery, and his date bragging about skydiving. The Tetris comic did one about what new species taste like. The show closer sounded familiar, he did one about Minnesota Nice being a problem with things like a four-way stop.
