this afternoon i watched the movie 'hoosiers' on DVD. i recently acquired it from a dollar store. the line i really like in it is 'coach stays' in reference to the vote where he almost got fired. it had been a while since i had seen this movie. i had seen it with my dad on video before, a VHS copy of course. it is a reminder of why i liked gene Hackman as an actor, as he played the basketball coach.
i also got two appointments set up about jobs, same agency but 2 different offices. surprising how the calls were only a minute or two apart. they will be on separate days, one on Wednesday and the other Thursday, both in the afternoon. and i performed at two different venues in the evening. for the second straight week i helped out with shutting off the TVs at the first venue before the show began. i have performed at plenty of venues, and i know full well it can be distracting to have TVs on in the show room. sometimes I end up watching the TV more. not too big of a deal to have them on in the bar area, away from the stage.
