an imperfect murder movie
i watched a DVD movie this morning, a redbox rental, 'an imperfect murder'. when searching it online i found another title for it, 'the private life of a modern woman'. i recognized alec baldwin and charles grodin in it. 'activist investor' carl icahn appears in it as himself. it was painful to see grodin's role as he played somebody that is senile. most of the movie takes place in the main character's apartment. this is where her ex shows up, and where he dies, and where some other visitors show up. this includes the cop, played by baldwin, as well as one of her artist colleagues- she is an actress. there was classical music throughout, including by brahms and j.s. bach. there was a painting that is shown often as well, but i couldn't find mention of it in the credits. it looked like an impressionist painting, a very busy one as plenty of people are in it, many things happening, and most of the people in it are naked. it was a short movie, 71 minutes, most movies are at least 90 minutes. apparently it was from 2017, on the festival circuit, and just released this year. it was a day for errand running, and it meant getting to the post office. all four orders were there. i also paid for the box, for 6 more months. then it was time to return the movie to the gas station and get lunch. i got a corn dog and some cheese. there was some college football on TV, but i didn't watch much of it. there was indiana-michigan state, usc-arizona, and wisconsin-michigan. i laid down for a while and fell asleep. but looking back, i probably should have went out for a walk during the afternoon. later on it started raining. i still found 2 cents while out and about. i made it to the aldi grocery store in the early evening for my weekly order and there was a purchase limit on cans of tuna, limit 6. i usually just get 2 per week for lunch, so not a big deal to me. there might have been limits on other items, but it was the only one i noticed, in terms of the items i regularly get. i think the news said there might be a run on some items at grocery stores due to the pandemic. there has been a spike in cases and some states are placing more restrictions on businesses but not wanting to call for a lockdown just yet.
