i was bringing up refund checks in the afternoon and the customer service supervisor told a story of working at the fed-bank. it was about being the only employee that was trusted by an autistic man whose job was shredding things. and sometimes he would shred the wrong things. it did remind me a little of my sister being in voc-rehab. and i spoke of how sometimes employers like employing disabled people for the wrong reason- because of the cheaper wages. it was in the news recently about the legislature trying to end the sub-minimum wage. i am finding a nearby employee to be annoying, who wants to jump into conversations and makes too big of a deal about our age difference when i don't think it needs to be a big deal at all. also notable about the day was hearing from a supplier, who asked if an order for check stock had been placed yet for this month. i copied a colleague on the thread that places the order for me, and was told that a senior leader hadn't signed off on it yet. this is due to being out of the office, and is not due back until monday. i said i am fine at this point with check stock, i have enough to complete my normal duties. this is likely aided by having boxes left over from a special project that wrapped up a month ago. it was expected to be 50k checks but was later changed to less than half that amount. i drank the can of surly with the evening meal so now three beers are waiting. later on i went on a walk and found 1 dollar 1 cent. the 'big bang theory' reruns were when kripke sabotaged sheldon's phone interview with helium. it was followed by the one where sheldon and leonard were crying in a clothing store when talking about living arrangements.
