this evening i went to see the movie 'wild bunch' at the trylon cinema in south minneapolis. guess they have dropped the 'micro' from their name. it was a reminder of how a rhetoric instructor in college said she would like to film her version of the movie with our class as the cast. except she said there weren't any women in it. not entirely true. like many westerns, they weren't the big stars, many of them were prostitutes. plenty of shooting in it, including a machine gun. and a bridge was blown up. there was a train robbery as well. the thing that was lost on me at first was how the gang was just impersonating military men, having stolen the uniforms and the horses. mention of general pershing and pancho villa gave me the answer of the time frame being covered, this would be the mexican revolution. this was the third and final day for screening the movie. at work there was plenty going on. in the morning i saw food left on the counter in the breakroom. i claimed two boxes of cereal. one was private label shredded wheat and the other was kellogg's corn flakes. one had just expired and the other will be soon. there was two deliveries that arrived at the same time. i accepted the one for check stock. i rejected the one for battery packs, per the advice of the branch manager. a colleague helped out with the envelope stuffer for a while as the check volume was high for the fargo checks and the machine has been jamming a lot. per my boss a ticket was called in, especially after it was reported that some envelopes had two or even three checks in them. there was a team huddle in the morning, and it was the boss's birthday so there was cake. during my walks i found 1 cent. the 'big bang theory' reruns were with the 'intruder alert' alarm system and sheldon trying to move to bozeman. it was followed by the one where many characters said 'let it go'. could only watch half of the second rerun as i needed to get to the movie.
