after digging out my car from the snowstorm that happened overnight, i had to get started on errand running. once i got some of it done i got on the light rail and went to mill city museum in minneapolis to see the ukraine exhibit. this was in the commons area, near the souvenir shop, no admission needed. there was 41 photos on the wall. i decided it had to be this weekend as the exhibit had just started a week ago but i knew the next three weekends were already booked and it only runs until mid-may. when i was there i spoke of the song 'miss sarajevo', about the bosnian war, which U2 did with pavarotti, the opera singer. how i am aware that war can become art at any time. when a lady gave an opinion about one image, i said it was general sherman who said 'war is hell'. some were actually taken years before the current war began, but all of them were good at capturing the moment. i was most moved by the ones of people in residential areas. the one way on the left is of a girl on a swing next to some housing that had been bombed. after i was satisfied with getting a good look at the display, i bought some postcards inside the souvenir shop. then it was back on the light rail. i have done a full tour of this museum before, but not today as there were other things i wanted to do. i got to most things on my list, but not dumping change at the credit union. once i got my car dug out, i didn't have enough time to get there so it means moving it back a week. there was one order to pick up at the post office. and then i got some pizza at a speedway gas station. then on the aldi for groceries. after aldi it was to the museum. when i got back from the museum i watched some of the baseball game on Fox, giants-yanks, giants won a close one, getting a double play to end it as the rain was falling. then on to jersey mike's for a sandwich, and hy-vee for groceries. but this week only four items. i like loyalty programs, and per the cashier recommend i will be signing up for the jersey mike's account soon. i've been there often enough lately, so why not? this was my sixth visit of the year. later on i went on a walk and found 1 dollar 25 cents.
