two checks going to the nation's capital were returned on Friday, and this morning i heard from a colleague who found this out and asked these checks to be sent to an alternate address in the same city. i said i would send the tracking number when it is available. there was another request to pull a tax check out of the Oshkosh file and overnight it to the payee, but this time it was to Pennsylvania instead of a California county. thankfully it was only one, and as usual the UPS label and form to go with the check were emailed to me. but i don't enjoy seeing how the department i am in is cleaning up messes for another department, having to hurry up and send it to avoid penalties. vacation replacement was in the shop for the day, and in the afternoon spoke of feeling sick from whatever was eaten for lunch. but i guess that if there was a need to vomit, it wasn't done in the shop. the overnight volume stayed kind of high, just over thirty. i did find some time during the workday to research some things. one of them was a tourist site at a mall in the suburbs of St. Louis. i will want to do a car rental this time during my annual visit so i can get there and to a few other places, such as a karaoke bar. and after the drag brunch, i was reminded of how i have a free ticket to use at a comedy venue in the theater district. now it means finding out when i am eligible to use them, and i likely should fairly soon before i forget about even having this voucher. or, even worse, lose the envelope. i performed in the evening, and the show runner from when i played the santa 'sent to duluth' was there. i went on after the fancy comic, and did stories about the bank, meetup events, and a saints game. during my walks i found 51 cents. the 'big bang theory' reruns were when sheldon published a paper and later found out he was wrong on the math. it was followed by the one where leonard's mom visits and leonard gets drunk with penny.
