pudding at fish fry

 i didn't stay home for long after work as i wanted to get to a fish fry. this is one i had been to before, St. Matt's in St. Paul. notable about this one was pudding as the dessert option. i chose vanilla, it was served in a cup. i sat at a table where a young couple was already eating, and they spoke about plans to attend a Timberwolves game. i spoke of attending the University of Iowa, and i guess the dude did as well. one more Friday in lent, and i will cap it with a fish sandwich at McDonald's. at work there was one more California tax check to send out, but thankfully only one, going to Ventura county. the overnight volume stayed kind of high, close to forty, but i like how i am still getting out at a decent time. it helps to start on those as early as possible. after the fish fry i went to a meetup event at summit brewery, also in st. paul. i had one beer, i stayed for about an hour, and then i left to do grocery shopping at hy-vee. i did more listening than talking there, but i was getting bored when the subject became 'the news of the world'. but it was time to leave by then anyway. it was a small order at hy-vee, just seven items, but i buy what i need. no more, no less. during my walks i found 25 cents.
