plans are to visit Chicago this weekend, and see some 'old haunts' like a wolves hockey game in Rosemont. i am reminded of the song 'calling me home, chicago', which i saw on WGN when i was young. i spoke of this annual visit being a 'quick 48 hours' and somebody called it 'a furlough' so that is another term to explore. i found a karaoke bar to perform at, and sang 'million reasons' by lady gaga. my seatmate on the flight said she was flying back to china with her in-laws, and lived in suburban Chicago for a while.
