saw a redbox rental this morning, 'ballad of lefty brown'. it was a western, though not a typical one. since politicians figure into a big part of the storyline. in this case, it was a senator, and the governor, of montana. peter fonda was in it, but i didn't recognize any of the other actors in it. it was an all right movie, although not what i expected from a western.
i went to church for easter, and the pastor spoke of willie nelson and the blues brothers in his sermon, which was titled 'on the road again', of course this is the title of a willie nelson song. i looked at the books in the 'cookie room' and wrote down the title of one of them, it was a history book. i will see if i can find it at amazon. then it was on to IKEA near the mall of America for easter dinner. i had the salmon, it was good. then i went to do laundry, and did plenty of walking around in the neighborhood while waiting for my laundry to finish. i walked past a 'vintage shop' that i had been in before and bought 3 postcards. one was from the 1939 new York world's fair, one was of Yellowstone park, one had a Theodore Roosevelt quote on it.
i also performed at an open-mic, i ventured over there shortly after my laundry was done. i covered what i had been doing lately, since it is every two weeks and i hadn't been at the past two. one of those was of course my weekend in Chicago-land for my annual visit. near the end the MC, the resistable comic, spoke of the upcoming comedy marathon that will be at this venue. i will be part of that show as well. i watched 'the simpsons', it was about bart and his pranks. i still had more chores to do, and did them, such as the dishes, along with taking out the trash and recycle. i fell asleep while watching the late news.
