i made it home after a meetup literature event began. it was about anti- semitism in literature. i had heard of 'hansel and gretel', and 'rapunzel', but hadn't read them in a while. also mention of the back plague being blamed on jewish people. it was a presentation by a book editor from canada. i asked one question but it went unanswered, asking for thoughts about howard and his mom from 'big bang theory' since one of the jewish stereotypes mentioned was a nagging mom. because of this event, i did not watch any 'big bang theory' reruns tonight. i was held up at work due to the system being slow for a while, starting just after midday. this meant it took longer for crating overnight labels. and i noticed some check files, once printed, kept starting over. so i did my best to prevent any duplicate checks from going out by looking at the files. this is why it is nice to see the sequence on the dashboard, showing the first and last check number in each file. i was noticing how the end check was unsigned and then there was a blank page, when it would start over. for one file the same check printed at least five times. re-booting the system made no difference at all. looks like the slowness led to some files not arriving in the afternoon. when i looked at facebook memories i had to pause when i saw two postings from twelve years ago on the night of a comedy contest. because it was a reminder of the things that had changed since then. and i looked at what i did just days later, i went to a writers convention in detroit. it was dad's birthday, called and got voicemail. later in the evening i went on a walk and found 95 cents.
