i knew my college roommate would be in town to attend a baseball and football game. i inquired about plans for the day and was told of watching the iowa-iowa state football game on TV somewhere in the afternoon. the main game watch location through the alumni chapter was the loop in minneapolis. except it was too crowded so i got a text and was told the office bar across the bridge was much less crowded. for a while we were watching the game on his phone as other games were on TV, such as the michigan state and northwestern games. but near the end we did find it on TVs near the entrance. iowa got a pick-6 and was ahead at the half and went on to win 20-13. i had two glasses of surly beer and some cheese curds. i did ask about karaoke and my friend, as expected, has done it, having been to japan three times. got some good stories about it, even mention of a mic-drop. i got some errand running done before i got on the light rail to see this friend, such as printing event tickets at the copy store and getting groceries at aldi. when the game was done i went back home on the light rail. there was more college football to watch once i got home but i didn't watch it for long. i went to redbox and picked up a movie that i can watch the next day. during my walks i found 79 cents.
