in the evening i was looking at my facebook news feed and saw a survey from the united states mint. it was related to the coins to be issued in 2026, the 250 for america. while taking the survey i wrote down two names of historical figures i hadn't heard of before. once again, not everything is in the history books, even when one is a history major. i said i would be fine with seeing them bring back the 'drummer boy' quarters from the bicentennial in 1976 as i have some of those. my question was when we might see what will possibly be on the coins, such as artist renderings. i signed up for their email list. i went to hy-vee in eagan and bought ten items. at work it was a typical low-volume day for the end of the week. i was asked if there were any desktop computers in the check shop by the customer service boss, was not aware there was any left in the building. most people have laptops now, easier to work from home this way. late in the evening i went on a walk and found 95 cents. the 'big bang theory' reruns were when howard had an allergic reaction to peanuts, and sheldon helps people out at the electronics store. this was all for leonard's birthday party. it was followed by the one where sheldon and amy make a blanket fort, while howard meets his half-brother. leonard finds out on the wil wheaton podcast that penny makes more than he does.
