i went to perform in the evening and there is often a 'stupid joke' read between acts. this time the poet took a turn on reading those during the second half of the show, and i liked the one about ignorance and apathy. matter of fact, it was read shortly after i had finished my set. i did stories about the bank, seeing a movie, and 'the haves and have-nots' at lunchtime. early in the show there was a performer that i wasn't too familiar with, telling a story about his father who had committed suicide. i saw plenty of familiar faces performing, including the poet, university accountant, the wild guitar player, and the fancy comic. at work the overnight volume was low, just fifteen. this was aided by there being just one from an account closure file where i overnight anything over ten thousand. two checks were carried over to the next day, one was in the second i-pay and the send-to address section was cut off. team lead in customer service had asked about that one but had just left for the day, and i will wait for a response. another was to be overnighted, but we are unable to overnight to a P.O. box. i ask customer service for a physical address when this happens, although usually i am told to send it regular mail. other notables about the day included seeing the movie 'my cousin Vinny' in the bar area at the performance venue, and selecting a book from a little free library, it was Shel Silverstein's 'falling up'. i had found another book while walking and this was essentially a swap. during my walks i found 1 cent. the 'big bang theory' reruns were when Leonard returns from his Las Vegas wedding to penny and spends the evening with Sheldon, after Amy tells Sheldon 'We are broken up'. it was followed by the one where Howard and raj try to decide who is the sidekick with a wrestling match.
