this morning i watched a DVD movie, a redbox rental, 'emily the criminal'. i did not recognize any of the actors in it but i was still captivated by the story. as we all know, i do like thrillers, and conman movies. i was guessing emily as being from boston, based on her accent, but she was from new jersey. she works for a catering company due to a felony conviction and has plenty of student loan debt. it leads to becoming part of a credit card fraud ring. when i saw zip ties and box cutters being used, it reminded me of my own line of work. emily swears at both interviews she is depicted at, and i was sympathetic at the first one as it seemed like she was being tricked by the interviewer. of course after a while, she is 'in too deep' with the fraud ring. the friend that she dog-sits for adds some to the story, but not a lot. as usual i watched the closing credits and noticed there was a dvorak song listed. i have been to the dvorak museum in iowa, same building as the bily clocks.
the movie was done early as i wanted to be home fairly early to watch a football game. the iowa hawkeyes were playing at ohio state, starting at 11m local time. i stopped at the post office, two orders picked up there. i went to two cub foods locations, the cereal i was looking for wasn't at the first one. but i did dump the movie there. the cereal was found at the second one, same place i visited a week earlier. so now i have the boxes of halloween-themed frosted flakes and froot loops. when i got home it was late in the first quarter, iowa trailing 13-7. iowa lost 54-10, so it didn't get any better during my time watching it. i laid down for a little while, then went to aldi for my weekly grocery order. then a baseball game was starting on Fox, phils-padres, won by the phils 10-6. it was 4-3 at the end of the 1st inning, padres scored only 2 more after the 1st. later on i went on a walk and found 74 cents.
