i went to see my college roommate that lives in farmington this evening, and his son wanted to watch some ultimate fighting matches. it was on a streaming service apparently as every so often he went to his phone when the screen froze. it was an eye-opener, no doubt. i had seen boxing many times before but this was more extreme. fights only scheduled for three rounds, and more often than not it ended with a knockout. i knew these matches took place in las vegas, i checked my phone and found out it was at the hockey arena. i brought beer much like before, a four-pack of paulaner. i had one and left the others there. the meal was pretty good, i arrived just before it was ready. i think the meat was a pork roast and there was rice as well. i had some bread and butter, and later on there was ice cream and some strawberry jam he had made with some heat to it. we spoke about various subjects, sometimes inspired by the commercials we were seeing during the break in the action from the fights. thankful i made it, first time in over a year. i was there for about three hours and then was told he was tired and it was time to leave. not a big deal to me. i got plenty done before i got there. of course, one of my errands was to get beer from a liquor store near me. but i also went to the post office, two e-bay orders were picked up. and i dropped off recycle near the capitol and got a can of craft brew from st. louis at the liquor store near it so now there are four beers waiting. later on i went on a walk and found 1 dollar 51 cents.
