shrine circus at fairgrounds

it was a busy day for me. early in the morning i did the comedy marathon, then i woke up way earlier than i wanted to. watched a DVD movie, 'bang the drum slowly', and in the afternoon i went to the fairgrounds and saw the shrine circus. some things about the circus worked for me better than others. the 'clown prince' didn't work for me, i liked other things more like the animals, and the clowns playing baseball. a woman sitting a row in front of me spoke well about it, saying the clown prince wasn't just for the kids on his kind of antics, also for those who like the three stooges. there were protesters just outside the venue, not too surprised as i saw some when i made my first circus visit over a decade ago. it was when i saw the barnum and bailey circus, in suburban Chicago. it was about the treatment of the animals. i got some popcorn, and a program, during the intermission.
after the circus i went to the library to print some things, including  updated resumes for the job fair on Monday. then i stopped at a Walgreen where i got some more discounted easter candy and a few other things. i watched 'the simpsons', it was about marge trying to get the family to read more. i still had plenty to do, including shred junk mail, get more things added to my comedy souvenir binder, and do the dishes. i got it all done just before the late local news, and i said i saw school bouncer in a TV commercial during the news.
