red cross snoopy shirt

i made an appointment for the afternoon and i went to the red cross to donate platelets and plasma. it was inspired by seeing an article recently about the viral videos due to giving out snoopy shirts for donating blood. and we know i am a big fan of charlie brown and snoopy. also notable was finding out i could watch netflix during the session. guess it lasted long enough that it is a good way to keep people occupied. i chose a documentary about leonard cohen, the musician behind the 'hallelujah' song. although i didn't get to see all of it as the session was shorter than the documentary. my first time donating, when i was in high school i was not allowed as i was ill the day of the blood drive. i am told i will find out my blood type in a few days. i recall dating somebody a while back who made a big deal about me not knowing what it is. i picked out the shirt at the end of the session. while in the recovery room i watched a julia child cooking show, was wondering how old the show was and the closing credits said it was from 1999.

there were other things i did throughout the day. i got started early on laundry, wanted it done before midday. then i had lunch and watched the easter church service from our lady of grace, edina, on Fox-9. after the red cross it was the XFL, san antonio vs. houston. later on it was the end of the masters, a reminder of watching it many years ago. mom tried to punish me by saying i was not allowed to watch baseball one weekend so i watched golf instead. i then got out a charlie brown DVD and watched both specials on it, 'easter beagle', and 'arbor day'. late in the evening i went on a walk and found 79 cents. on the late news from WCCO i liked watching a segment about the way of the cross from new ulm. i had toured this before, one time when i was in town for oktoberfest.
