i was watching the news on the evening and there was a depiction of Rasputin. this was part of the promo for the twin cities horror fest. i recognized who spoke on behalf of the fest, it was an actor i had seen perform at fringe festival. sometimes Rasputin is name-checked in pop culture, such as in an indigo girls song. so i was familiar with the story. now it means finding out what i can about this fest, such as ticket prices, venue, and what the showtimes are. at work the two fargo files were late, ready to print mid-afternoon. all of the special handling went out, plenty of US treasury checks being sent inter-office. some of the regular mail did as well as my vacation replacement showed up to help out for about half of the day, running the envelope stuffer. late in the evening i went on a walk and found 1 dollar 40 cents. the 'big bang theory' reruns were when the friends were on a train and sheldon needed to call penny for his flash drive. it was followed by the one where sheldon's grandma, or mee-maw, visits. in both cases we hear the term 'moon-pie' as penny reads the letters from her in the first one.
