at work, vacation replacement was in the shop in the afternoon. question was 'is that the wind?' no, it was protesters nearby. couldn't see them from where i was, though. then my colleague went to a higher floor and said they were across the street apparently. i didn't see that many remaining when i was done at the end of the day and wanted to get home on the light rail. also notable about the workday was one of the PDF files, an i-pay file from midday, had some issue and it was sent in a 'back-door' fashion so i could still print the checks in the file. it meant just trying again after i got an error message. when it popped up i sent it as a screen snip and was told just re-try so i did. it was a day of leaving my car at home as it was cold in the morning, subzero weather. not too big of a deal to me when it just means an extra step, take a bus and then the train.
