savage salvation movie, chamber orchestra

in the afternoon i watched a DVD movie, a redbox rental, 'savage salvation'. i recognized robert de niro and john  malkovich in it. this was the story of a couple dealing with a drug addiction. when one of them dies the other goes on a shooting spree to avenge that death. the setting was the south, guessed that one even before seeing license plates on cars. one scene had a 912 area code, correctly guessed it as georgia. although the closing credits say it was filmed in puerto rico as well. in many ways it truly was a sad story. an alternate title was 'wash me in the river'. based on seeing this in multiple scenes, it made sense. watching it was delayed for various reasons. first was going to hy-vee in eagan. it was a small order, and after i got back i noticed i didn't get egg nog. i saw a warning light on the instrument panel so i took it to a shop, parts need to be ordered so i will be back at the shop in a few days. it was midday by then, so i went to a nearby arby's, hadn't eaten at one in a while. then it was home. in the early evening i went to aldi for my weekly grocery order, and they were out of orange juice. so i had two reasons to get to a target. i made it back from target in time to get on the road again to an event. first i dumped the movie at the gas station. then it was on to the ordway in downtown st. paul for a performance of 'handel's messiah'. first time i had seen the st. paul chamber orchestra perform. probably was paying more attention this time compared to last year, where i said 'so this is where the hallelujah chorus is from'. i noticed a young lady in the front row of the chorus who seemed to be frowning whenever she wasn't singing. there was clapping when the conductor and the soloists walked out on stage, this seemed appropriate. the soprano soloist really nailed the high notes. there was 3 parts, with one intermission, between parts one and two. although the conductor and soloists still briefly left between 2 and 3. later on i went on a walk and found 1 dollar 2 cents.
