anxiety club movie

 as usual, i like how there is not much planned on Sundays. in the afternoon i went to see 'anxiety club' in Edina, the 50th and France theater. this was part of the twin city film festival, and i like how this venue was added to the lineup, same as with the other film festival that is held in the spring. because it is nice having the parking ramp right next to the venue. this was a movie about stand-up comics, and performing is a way of them managing their anxiety. Marc Maron was one of the comics, i hadn't heard of any of the others. a lady comic was shown in sessions with her therapist, as a comic i know many of us have seen a therapist. i liked how another lady comic joked that she was cured once her therapist raised the rates. there was a q and a session after the screening with the director. the auditorium wasn't full, but it was still a decent crowd. when it was the only screening for this movie at the festival, and we were told it was the premiere in this state, it stands to reason how it would be a good crowd on hand. i saw another attendee of the festival in the lobby and he asked for me to take a picture with his friend and i did. this man was on the way to see the Boy George movie. i am used to seeing just one movie in these festivals, for two reasons. one, the ticket prices are a little higher. two, the scheduling for those that interest me doesn't always fit my schedule. i like knowing that some of these movies will have a wider release outside of the festival. the one about the lady boxer is due to premiere in early November, it is the only one that made my list. already saw a poster for that one in Eagan this weekend. in the morning i did the laundry. i could have started it a little earlier but then i realized i already had a frozen meal at home that i could eat for lunch and didn't need to go to a booya at a church. i went to just one booya this season. after the movie i stopped at a nearby speedway gas station and got a bottle of tea, some popcorn, and cheese curds. i watched some of the Sunday night football game in the evening, 49ers beat the falcons.
