i started off the day with my typical chores and errand running. this included going to the post office, only item to be picked up was the postcard i sent myself a week earlier. then it was on to drop off recycle near the capitol and dumping change into my savings account at the credit union. the most notable event of the day was the event i attended at the Saints baseball stadium, called the 'fall is fun festival'. it was a family-friendly Halloween activity. i liked using colored pencils on the art page we were given. it took me a little while, but i colored most of the page and used just about every color that was in the container. it surprised me a little to find out that a baseball game was being played upon arrival. the stadium employees said it was Hamline university's team playing their alumni. it was just after midday when i arrived, so it was time for lunch. i ordered a hot dog, cider, and two cookies that looked like Jack-o-lanterns. i ate one cookie there and the other was taken home. there were various photo-ops where one could stick their head inside a hole, and one had the Saints mascot, Mudonna, asking 'how tall this fall?' i liked some of the games there as well, including cornhole, as well as some bowling. it was an orange rubber ball and fifteen pins. when i was walking back to my car i saw some art in Mears Park, it was photography on display. one of them was of the Saints stadium, and another was of the city's mayor. and at a stoplight i saw a station wagon designed like the car from the 'ghostbusters' movie. in the evening i had a sandwich at kersey mike's, first time having a hot sandwich there. it tasted fine but i will likely stick to cold cuts as i like having the sandwich made right in front of me, not having to wait for it after i have paid for the order.
