at work i got an instant message from a lady that is based in suburban st. louis, according to the employee directory. she said she was with the 'mail code team' and asked me to confirm my location. i said i had been in the same place for nearly a year. i recognized the name of her boss, who coordinates the UPS classes. i had to take it as a new hire as i handle plenty of overnights for the bank. another notable thing about the workday was checking the floor for stairwells, as there was mention of a fire drill scheduled for next week where we report to a stairwell instead of going outside. there was two, one of them beeped when opening or closing the door. the other did not. i also checked other doors to see if they would open, and most would not. there was one that did, though. it was vacant, aside from a coat hanger, nine paperclips, and some false ceiling. i claimed the coat hanger and paperclips, as i can find use for those items. i drank the can of miller with the evening meal and got a can of voodoo ranger from the nearby liquor store, so there still are four beers waiting. i also saw an email about an event i enjoy attending every so often, matter of fact already twice this year. another theme of interest to me was presented and i ordered a ticket for a month from now.
