nine figure check

i kept saying i had seen it all in my time with the bank, but that is not the case. i saw my first nine figure check to send overnight, through the newer Cincinnati file. it was $164 million. when i saw it i had the business line confirm the amount was correct, as it is by far the largest check i had ever seen. it was one of two checks being sent to a district court. the backlog of checks to run through the machine went down, now just a thousand. in the morning i printed four test checks, after i had most of the live checks printed. it was also after a fire drill on my floor. thankfully we stayed inside, reported to a stairwell. i found another thing left over from my day off. a business line said their overnight envelope did not arrive, but only Monday's checks. vacation replacement said it was likely sent to the wrong office, so i was advised to send re-prints. it meant two days of checks was sent to them, i have done it before. a rare thing, but weird and annoying, happened during the printing of one of the Fargo files. the laptop froze, so i re-booted it. then the printer re-started, after the file spit out an error page and stopped printing, possibly due to the frozen laptop. i stopped it fairly early, only about a hundred checks printed that i already had. about half of the file had printed, and i take notes on the error page as to when and where it stopped in terms of which ones i need to hit re-print on. in the evening i went to a meetup event at a micro-brewery, near the Saints baseball stadium. it was my second time to this venue, even though i go to baseball games close to it all the time. some had already left by then, but i had a beer and a little bucket of cheesy popcorn. also saw a dude from an earlier event, we spoke again about concerts attended. i heard some music from the lower level and checked it out but didn't stay long, basically heard just one song and then i went back to the main floor.
