i went to my first fish fry of the lent season, it was at the American legion hall on the east side of st. paul. tonight's sponsor was the colin powell leadership academy, first time i had heard of it. some were in uniform, military cadets with the ROTC program. some served me food, and others were willing to take care of my trash when done eating. i have more to look up about this organization, although there was a display about their mission in the dining hall.
i did some karaoke tonight as well, but at a different venue than the fish fry. 2 songs, 'still haven't found what i am looking for' by U2, and '33' by smashing pumpkins. a young lady asked me to be in her selfie, and i agreed to it. it is a nice form of recognition, as the request doesn't happen too often.
