super bowl hot dogs

i went to a bar to see the super bowl as, for whatever reason, NBC doesn't get picked up by my TV. one offer they had was free hot dogs and chili during the game. so i had some, besides beer. i think this is fairly common as a promotion at this bar, usually though it is during Vikings games of course. whatever brings people in, although the crowd was kind of thin, but i didn't mind. i spent some time clearing a little space on my digital camera memory card before i departed, which meant i arrived after the game began. but i still made it there early in the game, before any points were scored. Philadelphia beat new England 41-33, after leading 22-12 at halftime. i did see a man setting up for karaoke during the game, but i didn't stay for the karaoke. i had other things to do, such as the dishes.
i picked up some TV dinners at Cub Foods after game, and noticed some Super Bowl souvenirs for sale there but didn't buy any, yet. also seeing the TV ad for blue ox heating and air, catchy due to the music in it. it is not the first store i have been in that has this kind of merchandise. so if i feel the need, i can go back and get another look. i have done this before, think about it, as it is often a good idea to avoid buying on impulse, especially if one has a limited budget. although there is something to be said for 'get while the getting is good', not knowing how long it will be there.
i normally go see a movie in the afternoon on super bowl sunday, and it is over well before the game begins. but i did not do that this year. i reminded myself how i have some videos i hadn't watched yet. so i watched 'mr. warmth', about comedian don rickles. i had tried to watch it before, but fell asleep. i liked it as there was plenty of interviews with bob Newhart in it. there was two discs, the main one was longer, and i liked it more. the second disc had special features on it. really the only memorable thing about the second one was what Newhart said about acting.
