annoying, impatient caller

there was more activity on the job front. found out the offer is actually for a job that starts a month from now. so i am not willing to accept it just yet. then came the annoying, impatient caller. i said i needed to get to the library after having lunch and they didn't listen to me about wanting to view a different version of my resume there. and i don't understand why they told me i still needed to talk to the manager about the job. how many people do i need to talk to? one should be enough. it of course left me wondering: are they submitting me or not? when i get annoyed this quickly, i tend to move on to the 'path of least resistance' as this is too much for me. can't be too careful when it is more likely they are a scammer when they seem pushy. most reasonable people understand that one needs to be given some time to respond.
   i spoke about it while performing tonight. and i took a call before the show from a comic friend who has a job lead. i have to keep my options open. i was given a tip this week from happy meal about how not all comics are uber drivers, restaurant servers, or pizza delivery drivers. one of them works at a place that has office jobs. so i sent a text to see what he might know. hadn't heard from him in a while, so it served more than one purpose. when the call arrived i decided to go to the back of the club near the vending machines and the bathrooms so i could hear him better. one crowd member really liked one of my jokes about holidays that seem to be uniquely American. it was inspired by knowing that cul-de-sac wanted to hear about somebody i had been communicating with on skype.
    also this afternoon, as part of my 'errand running', i went to a jc penney to use some gift card money. since i had just received another one from answering surveys on their website. i try to use them before i forget about having them. i got some socks.
