i went to cub foods to get some TV dinners for the week after doing karaoke. it was annoying how picky-picky that machines can be when doing self-checkout. it said 'item on belt' and it looked like i had to re-scan it, but i didn't have to so an employee had to take one of them off. only want to pay for what i am actually getting. also got some string cheese and a muffin. there was some super bowl merchandise but i want to wait a little longer to get some of that.
doing karaoke was the most notable thing about the day. i did one song, 'you may be right' by billy joel. my first choice was rejected, was told it was not available. so i had to try again. sometimes i am at a loss for what songs to do, aside from ones i have heard on my car radio while out and about.
i did the typical errand running. it started with getting a breakfast sandwich at the holiday gas station, then checking my p.o. box. all of my e-bay orders for the week were there, postcards. mostly of baseball players, but also one of snoopy statues from 2000, 'peanuts on parade'. it was a nice find, unaware that this was made as i did not live in the twin cities then. i had a booklet and map from 2004, the fifth and final year, my first year in the area. i also turned in some change at the bank, but i had to wait for them to help with the machine as the receipt didn't print. it was jammed inside. i picked up some foreign coins that weren't wanted by others, one from the cayman islands and the other three were euros. in the afternoon i slept for a while, wasn't sure what else to do. and i watched one of the two discs of the Justin timberlake concert from MSG on HBO, found at a Walgreen, in the evening.
